Transfer 7 done, hello transfer 8

Hey everyone,

Today is transfers and I’m staying here in Morgan City with Elder Isrealsen for another transfer.

This week has been pretty good, we have met some more cool people that actually used to be old investigators from a year ago. They are named C and I. At first it didn’t seem like they would be interested cuz we met them and they awkwardly told us to come back a different day, and when we went back they weren’t home, then this last week the same thing happened where we caught them and they told us to come back later. This Thursday we visited them and they let us in and we had a super good lesson with them. They had forgotten a bit about what they learned a year ago, but once we got into it they were super receptive. Elder Isrealsen did awesome at tell them about the importance of the authority of the priesthood which is a thing that a lot of people don’t understand down here. I’m excited to see what happens with them.

Something nuts I found out is that we are getting a new sister missionary today that a lot of you might know. Sam Sargent! I’m super excited cuz there are some kids from k-town down here that I didn’t know before the mission but now there is going to be one I did know. So pray for Sam, the first few transfers are sometimes a bit tough.

I hope y’all have an awesome week!
My Trainer goes home today.

Meno activos o investigatores

Hey everyone, how are yall doing?
I hope you are all having a great time preparing for summer break. That is crazy that almost a whole school year has gone by. Congrats to the track team for getting first at state! DHS DHS!!!

This week we were out trying to get back in contact with an investigator named G…., but once again he wasn’t home. So we decided that we should try to hit up a less active that lived nearby that hadn’t answered the times we went over. We knock on the door and it actually opened. The guy was on the phone but he waved us in. We went in and sat down, and once he was done with his call we started talking to him. Come to find out he is an old investigator from a year ago that some missionaries were visiting. He isn’t a member but he does live with his son, who we didn’t meet; so his son might be. He was super nice and super interested in the lesson. I’m excited to keep teaching him. His name is A… by the way. I think I mispelled that but oh well.

That same day we met with quite a few people that seemed to be interested as well so this area might be picking up!

Love y’all, I hope you have an awesome week!

Happy day after Mother's Day

Hey everyone how are y’all doing?

I hope you all had an awesome Mother’s Day, it was a super fun one here! Facetiming home was definitely the highlight of the week!
This week the branch president’s son, Kyle, got baptized. It was super great! The baptism went well with one minor set back. The plug in the font decided to malfunction so when we opened the doors to the font for the baptism the water was only up to about knee high. But even with that we were able to get him baptized, it just took a few tries. Ha ha I guess you can drown someone in 2 feet of water.  Then the next Sunday Kyle shared his testimony with the branch and it was awesome.  It was amazing that someone that young could have that strong of a testimony.

This week we also got to meet an awesome lady named Sierra. We were a little surprised when we got a call from the sisters serving in the Hawaii temple about the referral but it was worthwhile. She was super nice and was very attentive to the lesson of the restoration. She seemed like she had some pretty good potential. She even told us she was looking for a church since she knows she needs to become more knowledgeable about Christ and needs to worship God more. Pray that she keeps staying solid!

Love y’all I hope you have an awesome week!
