Ya es Mayo! Que paso!

Hey everyone what’s going on?
It is the first of May already which means that y’all only have 1 month of school left, if you’re in high school, or you are already done if you’re in college (or maybe that is just BYU). That is so crazy! I can’t believe it is already that time. So that also means a lot of people have  gotten their mission calls. If y’all know someone with a call let me know where they are going! And all y’all that have one, good luck on your mission; it isn’t like anything that you have ever thought, so be prepared to be surprised.

This week we had another good time tracting.  We were in a small city called Amelia out here that is almost 100% Hispanic.... minus the handful of Vietnamese people we ran into that couldn’t speak a lick of English or Spanish, it’s weird to run into them because I’m not used to meeting people that I can’t understand seeing as almost everyone speaks English or Spanish, well I guess they speak Southern too, but I’m fluent in that too at this point (read elder Moody’s email for more descriptions of Southern, my favorite is churin instead of children).

One of my favorite experiences from this week was with one of the Spanish people we met while tracting. This little Mexican family let us in to talk to them, but after we came in the wife went to the back room and started cleaning and the kids ran into the corner and played on the phone. So we were teaching the dad and he seemed to like what we were saying, he got off subject pretty easily because whenever we asked him a question he took it and ran with it so far that we were then talking about something completely different than we were before. We did get through the lesson with him, and it was pretty awesome.  It seems like he will be a pretty solid investigator. But part way through I looked down at his feet and saw that he had an ankle monitor, so he was under house arrest for something. Idk what it was, but needless to say we may not be getting him to church for a little bit.

Love y’all, hope you have an awesome week, good luck with AP tests!
Cool gun grill I found while tracting.
