Hey everyone, I hope
you are having fun in the snow and cold.
Things were good this
week, we had lots of opportunities to do some service for the sisters
investigators. The grandparents of these investigators recently died so we were
helping them empty out some storage units full of the stuff that their
grandparents had gathered through the years. The cool part of this was the fact
that at church this last week one of these investigators, D, shared a bit of
how this service and other service some of the members have done for him has
impressed him with the church and helped show him that we truly have the Lord
with us. From what he said he wants to
get baptized but needs to figure some things out first. But moral of the story
is that showing you are serious about serving others helps them see the light
of Christ in you which is important to show.
Then we also had a
great lesson with a man named R that we met this week. He is one of the few Hispanics
I have met that wasn’t really affiliated with any church. I think that this
made him more open to what we were saying. We taught him the restoration and
how to pray and he seemed very humble in accepting the challenge to pray about
this message, as well as practice having his own personal prayer on a regular
basis so that he can have a stronger relationship with God. He seems like a
pretty awesome guy.
I love you all and
hope you have a great week!!
